About Us

Built in Chattanooga, for Chattanooga.

We started this agency because the web development industry was failing small businesses: overcharging, underdelivering, and not respecting clients. Chattanooga deserved better.

Our Story

Why we started.

We started Thinkweb because we kept watching the same thing happen: small business owners in Chattanooga getting taken advantage of by an industry that didn't respect them. Overcharged for websites that underdelivered. Locked into vague retainers with no accountability. Handed off to junior staff after the sale. Left without support when things broke.

The web and digital marketing industry has a culture problem. Agencies sell on promise, deliver on minimum viable effort, and rely on client confusion to avoid accountability. Contracts protect the agency. Pricing is hidden until you've already invested time in a sales process.

Chattanooga's small business community deserves better. Independent restaurants, local healthcare practices, trades businesses, neighborhood retailers, and nonprofits doing real work. These aren't enterprise companies with dedicated marketing teams. They need a partner who's actually accountable.

So we built the agency we wished existed. Transparent pricing, published before you contact us. A managed model that keeps us financially accountable to your long-term results. Local knowledge that national firms can't replicate. That's the whole idea.

The Team

Two partners. Every account.

01

Web Development

Co-Founder

Leads development: the builds, the infrastructure, and everything under the hood. The reason sites load fast, stay secure, and don't break at 2am. Also handles technical SEO, tracking setup, and maintains the community catalog site.

02

Marketing Strategy

Co-Founder

Leads strategy and growth: SEO, paid media, client relationships, and the reporting that proves the work is actually working. Runs discovery calls, writes the proposals, and manages every campaign from setup to optimization.

What We Believe

Five principles we actually live by.

01

Respect

We show up on time, respond to messages, and don't disappear when a project gets hard. We explain things without condescension and say 'I don't know' when we don't.

02

Transparency

Pricing is published. Contracts are plain language. We explain what we own, what you own, and what leaving looks like before any contract is signed. No gotchas.

03

Craft

Code is clean and maintainable. Performance is measured. Accessibility is not optional. We don't ship work we wouldn't want attached to our names.

04

Partnership

The managed model means the relationship is ongoing. Our incentives are aligned with clients staying long-term, which only works if we continue to deliver value every month.

05

Community

We're based in Chattanooga and committed to it. Pro-bono work for causes we believe in. A free community catalog. Success means a healthier Chattanooga, not just a healthier P&L.

Community

We built a free resource for Chattanooga.

Our community catalog is a free, searchable directory of Chattanooga events and things to do, built and maintained by us at no cost to the community. It's a public good and a demonstration of what we build for clients.

We also commit to pro-bono hours each year for Chattanooga nonprofits. If you're a 501(c)(3) with a digital need and a limited budget, reach out.

Nonprofit pricing

  • 15% off all build fees
  • 10% off monthly platform fees
  • $85/hr hourly rate (vs. $125 standard)

Working with us

What the client experience actually looks like.

How we communicate

Email is our primary channel. You get a direct email address for the person managing your account, not a support ticket queue. One business day for non-urgent replies.

How we report

Monthly written reports on a consistent date. Plain language: what moved, what didn't, and what we're doing about it. No 40-slide decks.

How decisions get made

Nothing significant happens without your approval. Design, ad copy, new page content, campaign changes: you see it before it goes live.

How we handle problems

When something goes wrong we tell you immediately, explain what happened, and tell you how we're fixing it. No hiding behind technical jargon.

How long relationships last

Our average client relationship is measured in years. That's the result of work that keeps being valuable. We're not interested in accounts that churn.

What we won't do

We won't promise rankings we can't guarantee, sell services you don't need, or use tactics that work short-term and damage you long-term.

Our structure

Two partners. Not a 50-person agency.

Every client works directly with both partners. No account manager relaying messages, no handoff to a junior team after the sale, no offshore contractors doing the work a senior person pitched.

The tradeoff is selectivity. We can only take on a limited number of clients. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that before you sign anything.

vs. Large agency

Senior person pitches, junior team executes. You're one of hundreds of clients. Account managers relay information. Us: same two people, direct access, always.

vs. Freelancer

One person across all disciplines. When they're overwhelmed, your account stalls. Us: two complementary specialists on every account.

vs. National firm

No local market knowledge. Chattanooga is just a location field. Us: we live here, we know the market, we're accountable to it.
